Hiya. Another week down, and another week closer to inevitable seasonal transition.

I. SUNDAY, 10/16: Public Hours / Open Shop

11 AM-3 PM, 416 W Huron

A four-hour interval of workinonbikes, followed by CC's monthly Steering Committee meeting from 4-5:30. All are welcome at either or both of these things (in the latter case, please email in...@commoncycle.org for Zoom details).

II. TUESDAY, 10/25: Lights Distribution Event @ Delonis

5-7 PM, Delonis Center Parking Lot

In a few Tuesdays, the DDA is hosting a second lights distribution event at the Delonis Center and we'll be there providing mechanical support. Also, and as mentioned last week, the Concert Music Outreach Collective will once again be performing a few pieces for those staying at the center during the event.

Finally: Open House @ Maker Works, Sunday, 10/23/2022 from 2-5 PM

Our friends at Maker Works are hosting an open house on Sunday, 10/23/2022 from 2-5 PM at their non-profit workspace on Plaza Dr. All are invited / welcome, regardless of experience with such workspaces and tools. Details are below -

Maker Works is an 11,000 sq ft community workshop / makerspace in Ann Arbor, MI. We're having an Open House on Sunday, Oct. 23rd from 2pm - 5pm. Come explore our Wood, Metal, Electronics, Jewelry, and Craft areas that support individuals, small businesses, entrepreneurs, students, artists, etc.

Members will be demoing tools and showcasing their work, staff will be running tours, and we'll have a couple of our Make & Takes available (kid + adult friendly:)

We'll be discussing some of our accessibility goals, community partnerships, and starting conversations about memberships for individuals and groups, sponsorship opportunities, donation options, and a whole lot more.
