This Sunday during public hours, a man named Ken came by on his tricycle. We were mid-process on installing a new brake cable for him, and got pulled away momentarily. Ken
doesn't see well, and didn't notice that while the brake cable is
installed, there are still 2 extra feet of cable hanging off. Thinking
his bike was finished, he rode away before we noticed. We don't have a contact for him.
Ken
is commonly seen about town, frequently at Argus Farm Stop, selling
Ground Cover News. If you do happen to see him with his tricycle, this
hasn't been fixed yet, and you are carrying a device that can cut cable,
it would be great to get this trimmed off before it causes a serious
problem.
If you see him but don't have a cable cutting device with you, let him know that people will be at Common Cycle tonight from 6:15-8 (for new volunteer orientation), Tuesday and Thursday morning for the usual bikes team working on bikes time, Tuesday 6-8 for public hours, Wednesday 2pm for a meeting, and Thursday evening 6-8 for volunteer hours.
