Call for Volunteers: Public Hours / Open Shop - Sunday, 3/29 + April Events

Evening, all.

Quite a few opportunities to help fellow riders learn about maintaining their bikes. Secondly, for the last year or two, we've been less diligent about capturing a few photos (with folks' permission) out in the wild. As we look ahead to the mobile-event season, in addition to signing up as a volunteer or apprentice, please consider signing up to snap some photos.

II. FRIDAY, 4/3: North Campus Pop-Up w/ WoW

1-4 PM, North Campus Grove (a.k.a. North Campus Diag)

Following a successful event in 2025, we're joining Wolverines on Wheels for another spring maintenance pop-up on North Campus next Friday. Please sign up to lend a hand below. (Also, folks are encouraged to check out the little-known bicycle repair space in the Fabrication Underground studio in the basement of the Duderstadt library.)

III. SATURDAY, 4/11: Sierra Club Planet Party w/ WoW

12-4 PM, U-M Diag

Another chance to support U-M communitymembers in learning how to keep their bikes rolling smoothly as glimpses of spring give way to consistent fair weather. We'll be hanging out alongside Wolverines on Wheels for the U-M Sierra Club's Planet Party event a few Saturdays from now. (Thanks once again to Clark for coordinating.)

IV. SATURDAY, 4/11: Makers Market @ Ann Arbor Open

12-4 PM, Ann Arbor Open School - Gym (920 Miller Ave, Ann Arbor, MI 48103)

At the same time as the Planet Party event, Ann Arbor Open are hosting a Makers Market event for students and we'll be deploying pop-ups at both. Weather-permitting, we'll be setting up outside the gymnasium and supporting students and their families in getting more familiar with their bikes and basic maintenance.

Is it ok if we don't include committee names on our event announcements, e.g. can we use "Common Cycle bike sale" or "bike sale" for the bike sale instead of "bikes team bike sale"?
