Bob Barnes speaks with Common Cycle about Free Bikes For Kidz-Aug. 22 8pm

Hi All,

Bob Barnes, the director of Free Bikes for Kidz-Detroit has agreed to tell us all about Free Bikes for Kidz.  Common Cycle will host Bob in a zoom meeting on Monday, Aug. 22 from 8-9pm.  The meeting is open to anyone interested in learning more. 

Each year FB4K collects, prepares and distributes over 2,000 bikes.  Many of us have participated in FB4K.  The 2022 project will kick off with a SE Michigan collection day on Oct. 1.  Bike distribution will happen in December.

  Between October and December there will be an intensive and fun effort to prepare all of the collected bikes.  The bike work happens in the city of Detroit.  There is a need for volunteers at any and all levels of bike knowledge.
