The Off-Season - Opportunities for Shortform Learning & Practice

A given Sunday in the off-season has a reasonable chance of being quieter than in fair-weather months. During Public Hours / Open Shop, folks are welcome (as space and volunteer capacity allow) to spend a little more time working on their bike and/or asking more general-maintenance questions of volunteers.

Public Hours in the off-season can be an opportunity to spend an hour with a volunteer and go through some of the basics (e.g. patching a tube, inspecting and adjusting brakes, shifting and/or bearings, learning about wheel-truing, etc.). If things get busy or we're pulled into something else, we'll let you know and can pick up later or another week.

This is to say: Bring your bike and pick our brains. If time allows, we can dig in a little more deeply than is sometimes possible during the busier season.
