September seems to be the new May (or the second May) with lots of bicycle-related action on the horizon. Though final details and separate messages may be coming soon from individual organizers, this week's note includes a recap of details and news as we know them - 

I. SUNDAY, 8/28: Public Hours / Open Shop

11 AM-3 PM, 416 W Huron

The shop will be open this Sunday from 11 AM-3 PM as usual. Feel free to drop your name into an Open, Close, Greeter, Volunteer and/or Apprentice slot if you'd like to lend a hand -

II. SUNDAY, 9/4: Open House & Volunteer Celebration

4-6 PM (Following Public Hours), 416 W Huron

All members of the community are invited to an open house at Common Cycle on Sunday, 9/4  - whether you're unfamiliar with, but curious about Common Cycle, volunteer occasionally or volunteer often! Hang out for a bit, check out the space, and learn about what CC is and does. Snacks provided.

• Thursday, 9/22 or Friday, 9/23, 5-7 PM (TBD Soon): Lights Distribution Event at the Delonis Center (Co-Hosted with Ann Arbor DDA)

Lastly, the next segment of downtown bikeway network is breaking ground on Friday, 8/26 - the City and DDA will be installing a separated bikeway on the south side of Miller/Catherine from Division to First (closing a loop, including the other three legs). Aiming for completion by November 4.
