"We know that there's a history. We know that this victim just got out of federal prison. Did that relate to this incident? We don't know yet, but that's something, of course, they were looking at and seeing if it has any connection to the murder that took place," Baltimore police Media Relations Chief T.J. Smith said.

The San Andreas Prison Authority (SAPA) is a branch of the Department of Public Safety in San Andreas. The agency has primary responsibilities in maintaining correctional facilities and prisoner transportation within the State of San Andreas

The SAPA consists of bailiffs, prison transport officers, prison guards, and all other law enforcement and corrections officers involved in the handling of convicted citizens. They are charged with driving prisoners to and from the prison and maintaining prison and courtroom security. The SAPA's jurisdiction includes the inside of Bolingbroke Penitentiary but also can be considered the surrounding area of the penitentiary.

I had met Karma in 2008 when I visited a Jayapura prison to interview political inmates. Karma was clearly the leader the other prisoners looked to for inspiration. He articulated his principles for the human rights and self-determination of the Papuan people. We quickly became friends, discussing and debating the human rights situation in Papua.

The Old English Andreas and the Mermedonian Cityscape Lori Ann Garner
The city of Mermedonia provides much more than a mere setting in the Vercelli manuscript's Old English Andreas. In this heroic hagiography Andreas is sent by God to Mermedonia to help release Matthew from cruel imprisonment. While there, Andreas frees not only Matthew but also hundreds of other prisoners who were likely to be tortured and perhaps even eaten by their captors. Later, Andreas himself is imprisoned, tortured, and dragged through the city's streets before he debates a demon in the city's underground prison and eventually, through divine intervention, brings about a flood that ends the threat of the Mermedonians and ultimately leads to the conversion of the city's inhabitants. But despite the fact that the city of Mermedonia is shown to be inhabited by cannibals and serves largely as a prison for the poem's two key protagonists, depictions of this city and its architectural structures employ not only predictable negative imagery but also certain phraseology and descriptive language applied in unambiguously positive contexts elsewhere in Old English verse. What follows is an exploration of this phenomenon in the most fully developed images of built spaces constituting Mermedonia as experienced by Andreas: the city skyline as it is described when Andreas first sees its walls from his ship, the city streets where Andreas waits before encountering his enemies, the underground prison where Andreas is held in captivity, the column within this prison that miraculously aids Andreas in overcoming the Mermedonians, and, finally, the temple that Andreas orders to be added to the architectural landscape following the Mermedonians' conversion.

San Andreas Correctional Facility is the only active correctional facility within the state of San Andreas. It contains three departments, each of which contains two cellblocks. The prison is managed by Warden John Winnfield and the Deputy Warden Giovanni Poldilotta, also having two Majors in the High Command team which are Katie Clark and former Commisioner Galen Hawkins. These four people run the facility doing diffrent administrative tasks and representing the High Command team.

The San Andreas Correctional Facility was constructed in October of 2012. At first, San Andreas Correctional Facility did not have a Warden and was instead managed by the Commissioners Board, which was at the time Assistant Commissioner Miles Conner, Deputy Commissioner Galen Hawkins, and Commissioner Dexter Abbruzi. The San Andreas Correctional Facility saw an advent of new technology and overall prosperity for the Department of Corrections, and majorly improved over the previous prison - Los Santos Prison. During the summer of 2013, the prison was raided often by criminals wishing to break out convicts housed within the prison. Doing so, they abused the visitation system almost every time. Knowing this, then Deputy Commissioner John Winnfield issued the SACF VISIT STOP order on June 7th, 2013. This order prohibited all types of visits within the correctional facility, with the exception of law enforcement interviews. After controversial changes to the lobby design, the SACF VISIT STOP was lifted by Commissioner Galen Hawkins on July 19th, 2013. Despite these new changes for security, the prison was continuously attacked by criminals. Soon after, the VISIT STOP was reinstated by Commissioner Galen Hawkins on August 15th, 2013. In the mean time, new members were inducted into the Command team of the Department of Corrections, which helped bolster prosperity in the prison. After a discussion with prison administration, the VISIT STOP was lifted for the final time by Deputy Commissioner John Winnfield on November 3rd, 2013. After this era of attacks, the prison adapted immensely to the skyrocketing amount of crime within San Andreas. Following controversy, Deputy Commissioner John Winnfield temporarily stepped down from his position as Deputy Commissioner. Soon after, Commissioner Galen Hawkins appointed Captain Giovanni Poldilotta to become an Assistant Commissioner of the Department of Corrections. Soon after, John Winnfield returned to his position as Deputy Commissioner, and many changes began to unfold. Soon enough, these changes eradicated the Commissioners Board and reinstated the Prison Warden system. Deputy Commissioner John Winnfield became the Warden of San Andreas Correctional Facility, and Assistant Commissioner Giovanni Poldilotta became the Deputy Warden of San Andreas Correctional Facility. Due to the tenacious amount of presence needed by prison administration, Captain Helen Reyna was appointed Deputy Warden of SACF on January 29th of 2014. The prison operated as normal, with no major changes until Deputy Warden Reyna stepped down on May 1st of 2014. Her replacement came quickly after, as Captain Tyrell Guillen was appointed Deputy Warden of SACF on the same day.

Second the terrorist movement of the seventies was indeed profoundly international. The Munich group also included another name on the list of prisoners to be released. Kōzō Okamoto member of the Japanese Red army.

The higher echelons of Fatah knew the members of the RAF well. The only strange thing is that on a list already longer than 200 names they did not include all of those RAF members in prison at the time.

The "second generation" of the RAF was motivated as one primary concern by the desire to free their comrades of the first generation from prison, as they accused the German state of torturing these "political prisoners" in jail.

Alcatraz is a prison that, in the beta, was located on an island off the north coast of San Fierro, next to the Gant Bridge. It was taken out of the game before release and replaced with a small island next to the large cargo ship owned by the Da Nang Boys.

Alcatraz Island is a real-life island that contains a large prison and a lighthouse. It was abandoned in 1963, and it is currently a Historical Landmark. The Island is located in the San Francisco Bay, 1.5 miles offshore from San Francisco.

The real-life Alcatraz is rumored to be haunted. Many infamous criminals, including Al Capone and Robert Franklin Stroud, were housed and even executed in the prison. It is believed that, if the prison existed in the final version of GTA San Andreas, it would harbor many myths.

In the mission Interdiction, when Sweet is arrested and imprisoned, Mike Toreno tells Carl that Sweet is "Doing some time upstate." There are no prisons in San Fierro or Las Venturas, and this is the only logical place where the prison would have been located. It is possible that the mission was written while Alcatraz was still present in the game, but after its removal, game developers felt it was unnecessary to change the game's dialogue or they forgot it. This mission was most likely the reason why Alcatraz rumors began to circulate. The actual location of the prison in which Sweet was incarcerated remains ambiguous, but some players believe it was the Los Santos Police Department, for the fact that CJ had to pick him up from there.

On August 22, 2022, Bolingbroke State Penitentiary was successfully overtaken by state prisoners who were led by Mel Rickenbacker. It is the first time in the history of the State of San Andreas that a revolt was successful. With the unprecedented state of event's, it was not known what will happen after the successful revolt.

The perimeter of the prison is patrolled by the Senora Desert Sheriff's Office and sometimes the Los Santos Police Department & The Paleto Bay Sheriff's Office. There are armed San Andreas State Prison Authority officers standing near the entrances, making sure that no one attempts to break in or out and Department of Corrections officers on the inside monitoring the prisoner's behavior.

DoC officers greet prisoners at the entrance gate and operate and defend Bolingbroke Penitentiary. Members of the SASP, Paleto Sheriff's Office and selected civilians staff the prison and assist prisoners with rehabilitation. Prisoners have the option of completing tasks while spending their time in prison such as: cleaning cells, planting, disposing materials or running a lap of the yard.
