Completely broken, not detecting the title of any page

I tried it on 3 different sites (reddit, hackernews and here on groups). When I open the extension popup, it shows "Page: " and not page name.

Looking at the background logs, I see:

Unchecked runtime.lastError: Cannot find menu item with id 1

Is this extension working for anyone else? I used it for almost a decade and I miss it.

Hi Ehsan, sorry it's completely broken now. I haven't worked on it in years, and I don't have the bandwidth nowadays to do any further work unfortunately. Not sure why it suddenly stopped working, keeping it constantly updated for every site's idiosyncrasies was too much

No worries, as a developer I completely understand. I understand site-specific issues being too much, but this seems to be a larger issue that breaks it *everywhere*, so I was hoping the problem may be simple enough to fix. I may dig into it myself if I get a few cycles, it's strange that it doesn't detect any page's name at all. Probably some change in the extension API or permissions?

Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any alternatives either.

Yeah API or permissions issues are most likely it, Google has probably changed a few things around.
