Hi all - silly question and it may be specific to setting up phones in the USA, but...

Am trying to set up a phone to test submitting data here in the US and we are using a very old build (CC1.3!) so I am setting up a Nokia C2-01. Have a T-mobile USA simcard with a daily data pass and am able to browse the internet without a problem on the phone, but cannot submit data to CCHQ.

When I perform the network test I get the message Failed:java.io.IOException[81-Error in HTTP operation]

Oddly enough when I perform the permissions test the display reads
Test #1 Network connection to google.com PASS: Connection permitted

everything else appears to show a pass with the exception of 0.08 Test #3: Write Files
0.13 FAIL: Permission Not Granted - not sure how/if this is related to my form submission problem but thought I would mention.

I have my APN set to wap.voicestream.com

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Thank you
Steve

Hey Steve -

An alternative GPRS setting I found here: https://confluence.dimagi.com/display/commcarepublic/GPRS+Setup  is epc.tmobile.com.

Did this C2-01 work in another country?  Its also possible the phone is locked in a weird way by the network operator.

Cheers,
Jonathan

Thanks Jon - epc.tmobile.com worked fine and thanks for the link - I had looked at this but somehow didn't scroll down to the USA settings
