Hi,
I have a CommCare account, have tried to install 2.0 version of ODK in my Android mobile (Motorola Defy running on 2.2). I have done everything mentioned in the 'CommCare ODK 2.0 Installation Guide' including installing 'Barcode Reader' but get error message - 'Could not locate part of your app'. I am having trouble from Step 3: Install Your CommCare ODK 2.0 Application as mentioned in the guide available @ https://confluence.dimagi.com/download/attachments/4719039/CommCare+ODK2.0+Installation+Guide.pdf?version=1&modificationDate=1342428645958

Where do I find the “Release Manager” for the application as mentioned? The option I get in my mobile client (CommCare ODK) is 'Scan Application Barcode' and 'Advanced Mode'. When the latter is selected, I get a field to enter the URL of the application's profile file.

Could anyone please help getting across this.

Regards

Amelia Sagoff

Hi Jai,

To install CommCareODK on an Android, you have to install first the CommCareODK client from the market, and then your application that you built in HQ.

It sounds like you've installed the CommCareODK client from the market just fine, but are having trouble installing your application.

If you go to your project on HQ, click on "Applications" section.  You will see a link on the top right to the "Release Manager".  Here you can deploy existing builds - or if you don't have a build yet, click "Make a build" to create one.  For a detailed tutorial on how to create and deploy an application, please see our beginner's tutorial: https://confluence.dimagi.com/display/commcarepublic/Beginner+Tutorial

Let us know if you're still having issues.  We'll update our documentation so it's more clear going forward!

Thanks,
Amelia
