Hi,

I am trying to setup 2 applications in one project space but would want to restrict web users access to only the application that they belong to. Is this something that is possible?

Thanks,
James

Hi James,

If you go to your project on CommCareHQ, then choose Users -> View All, then Web Apps Permissions, you can control which users have access to each application.  You will need to create Groups for each set of users and then add the user to the appropriate group (for the Web App you want to give them access to).

Thanks,
Sheel

Hi Sheel,

Thanks for the instructions but I do not seem to see this on my project. Does this feature require a specific plan?

Under Project Users, I can only see Web Users & roles, but not Web Apps Permissions. Also, I do not see the option for creating a Group for Web Users. This is possible for Mobile workers though. Not sure if I am missing something here.

Thanks,
James

Hey James,

I might be a little confused about your request - are you trying to restrict mobile workers from sending in data for a specific application or web users from editing a specific application?  We don't currently support different web users in the same project editing and accessing different applications.  In that situation you may need to have two separate CommCare projects?

Hi Sheel,

Ah, I see. Thanks for your response. I was actually trying to set up two different applications in one project space but have web users with limited access.

Regards,
James
