So we are preparing to launch a new cloud service for guiDesigner/iViewer deployment and licensing. But before we do, we want to get some people to beta test it and let us know your thoughts.

First up we need to get an email list of anyone who is interested. We have already added quite a few people to the list, but if you want to join in beta testing, please go ahead and join the beta testers group email list via the form below:

To summarise what LaunchPad is:

1. Setup a project in CF LaunchPad Cloud
2. Upload your project from guiDesigner directly to the cloud
3. Users install the LaunchPad app (which is basically iViewer under the hood, but with no GUI File URL required)
4. Users enter a project token and PIN Code (which you setup in your LaunchPad project in the cloud)
5. All device licensing is then handled in the cloud (very similar to before, just a whole lot easier!)

Lots more info will be shared once we are ready.

Beta testing will involve using the new LaunchPad app for iOS/Android, new guiDesigner and the cloud service website.

Looking forward to getting everyone's feedback!

Sounds pretty exciting.

One immediate question comes to mind - is the connection to the
cloud required the whole time it runs, or just to load a new
project?

Required always (so that licensing can be cloud managed), with some options for offline projects.

More info on the cloud connectivity requirements is coming once we launch the beta.

How CF is thinking about protecting project data? CF should not be able to see its content , since the project contains sensitive information from customer: remote access, passwords.

You can encrypt your projects within guiDesigner, so that the data is encrypted at rest.

LaunchPad injects pages/assets into your guiDesigner projects to allow it to work.
So no matter how the data is encrypted, our service needs to be able to decrypt it, and so does iViewer.

Otherwise you can roll your own web server (or use any old file sharing platform) to serve up static projects and manage it all externally.

To test the system I need to buy credits?

Yes, or migrate existing credits/licenses. More info to come soon if you have signed up for the beta email list.
