The attached item is from a renovation project, seems a shame to throw
it away, can anyone identify this unit with specs, commands or
programming instructions?

Any thoughts appreciated.

It would need to be hooked up to a Crestron processor, whatever it is. The touchpanels do not store any logic themselves really.

From Jarrod's email there is no hope is using it as a simple interface (no pun intended)

If EU law can affect phone chargers it should extend to all displays.
A minimum as VGA or even S-Video connector pin  . . . .so end of life is extended.

Think of all those wasted  1st, 2nd, 3rd . . . . .gen iPhones in drawers around the world.
Kids could be using them with rPi and Arduino. . .

I do have a processor somewhere . . .would it be possible to read cresnet signals with a microcontroller or is it encrypted?
so CT1000 > Arduino Pin > reads mapped string  . . .

I have read somewhere that Crestron Cresnet is a RS-485 bus, but I don't think it has been fully reverse engineered. And I don't think Crestron is handling out specs for his proprietary bus either

CIP (The crestron protocol over IP) is used by the CIP Module, and I assume its similar over RS485, but cannot recall exactly (been a long time since I looked into this stuff).
