Trying to get the h264 video from an Axis M7001 to show.  Using rtsp://10.0.0.91/axis-media/media.amp I can see the camera in quicktime on the mac (with 3-seconds of buffering!) but that URL does not work in CF.

I saw another thread but I didn't see any specifics.

Thanks, Heath

iOS does not natively support RTSP encapsulated streams I believe. You need to use a HTTP Live encoded stream.

This works for our Axis stuff-- http://192.168.1.200/axis-cgi/mjpg/video.cgi?&camera=1 within the video window.

Yes MJPEG feeds are available on most IP Cameras, and will work great in iViewer (make sure to select MJPEG as the stream type in your video window properties).

Thanks guys. That's what I was using, but hoping I could use the typically-less bandwidth h264 connection.  It won't show in safari either.

Can anyone tell me what I need to do to this URL to make it work with username and password?

Thanks

Does anyone know if I need to do any special port forwarding to get in to this from the outside?  I've mapped my Axis server's port 80 to WAN 59180 (and tried others) and can only connect to it from the inside.  I have other ports actively passing through to other gadgets so I suspect that maybe the cam server is doing something different.

Thanks, Heath
