I would like to use a keystroke on an
external
"mechanical" (USB-)
keyboard
to trigger an action in CommandFusion (on Android media player).
Possible?

It depends I think.
By default, I don't think CF will be able to sense the keystroke and do anything
But if using an input field, then the keystrokes can be attached to a serial join to carry out actions based on what is typed
