best ipad dock/protocol

[Fiasco]

What's the best wall ipad dock going these days? I want to put an
iPad permanently installed for control of my bar/restaraunt. The
iPad can't be easily removed from the dock!

Need a good RS232 protocol that works reliably
charging of course
pass audio/video

Get the new iPort. It utilizes inductive charging so you can take it off the wall & dock it on a table top charger as well. It is less expensive than their previous 2000 model.

For audio/video, maybe need to use an adapter like this:

Allows for charging/syncing still via 30pin connector, whilst having
HDMI AV output.

Then any dock would work I'd assume.

iPort has RS232 and AV passthrough for iPod in-wall docks, but I'm not
sure about their iPad "Control Mount" series.

We use this:

You can easily make a relaycontact between the power supply and the
dock wich can be controlled by a hidden button so people won't be able
to take out the iPad.
