I noticed that themes seem to have CSS properties in the CDATA of a theme in the GUI file. Can I add any CSS properties in this spot following the format of the ones that are already there? Will iViewer render this for a button for example?

You can only use the CSS that guiDesigner generates. Anything that is not editable in guiDesigner will have no affect on the rendering in iViewer.
