From pg.3 of RS-232 Control Protocol Document (http://
c353616.r16.cf1.rackcdn.com/Nexia_RS232_Control_%28Jan10%29.pdf) , it
states that Biamp uses NTP (Nexia Text Protocol) to control the Nexia
units and all commands needs to be ended with a line feed. Try
end all your commands with a \x0A.
