I used \n or \x0A and I get * instead of the new line
I use \r or \xoD and the hex character gets skipped.

Thanks;

That was a typo in the post.  Sorry.
I use \r or \x0D and the hex character gets skipped.

Pretty frustrating.  Also I am using CIP method for communication with Crestron.

I will assume that the strings you are using is in quoted text as in  ". . . \r. . . " and processed as a javascript string.  More context would be helpful

Hi Barry;

I am using a serial IO symbol in Crestron to send the string to the panel.  I am not really using js yet  (shame is upon me) other than the CIP.js file.

It's possible that it will not be supported in Crestron's CIP protocol, or maybe not our implementation of it.
Try the CrestronMobile script.

Are you saying that it is the Crestron that is trying to send the CR or LF?  I just glanced over the title of the post.  I am not at all knowledgeable re the Crestron but I am sure someone here will help

Nice call Jarrod.

Thanks.

Can this (CM) method support more than one connection simultaneously?

For everyone reading along at home, apparently the solution is to send two carriage returns in a row from the Crestron side like this:
\r\r

Then the carriage return is actually transmitted and processed on the iViewer side.

Thanks Gerald for the heads up!
