And this is what I found:

http://www.cinetix.de/interface/english/etdmxbox.htm

I almost forget that I used the rs232 version a couple years back wich
was very good.
The DMX protocol is old and stupid. But still very robust and cheap..

Gonna test it in a few weeks.

Hi sarneel,
sorry to restart an old thread, but did you have chance to test the DMX interface? I have a customer who has some DMX equipments and I was wondering to offer him an integration with CF.
thanks

Hi Guys,

Glad you restarted Tulio, I never saw this post… That is the DMX I’ve been trying to get.  I’m in California and they don’t ship outside of Germany.  Wondering if you can get your hands on one and we can arrange shipping? Please let me know.

Attached is the documentation of using an ISY-99 to send network commands to the DMX. We use the network module in the ISY to send iTach commands to A/V equipment from Insteon Lighting Keypads.

If you have any advice on a comparable DMX please let me know. Thanks!

Scott

Hi,

I have a used it 2 times now, not with commandfusion, but another control system.
It's very stable and is quick enough to handle all the frames.

They ship to the netherlands with DPD, i wonder why they don't ship oversea?!

I'm not at the office right now, but there are a couple others that have tcp/ip communication..
Will post them in a few days.

greetings,

Thanks sarneel, when you get more info about other models, please let us know. No rush.

Scott, I have even more problems to get imported material, since I live in Brazil and the import taxes are huge.

If or when I find a solution, I´ll post here.

I'm a big fan of IT's Cueserver line. Concise, clean protocol. TCP/IP or RS-232 control.

Plus a nice web based programming gui to set everything up.

CueScript protocol/commands:

Guys, I'm using this one:

http://response-box.com/gear/2010/04/rs-232-driven-dmx-engine/

Very nice bit of kit, it's around $170, I'm using it in conjunction
with a Centralite Litejet system, so I'm sending out RS-232 commands
from the button presses on the light switches to the DMX box, I'm also
going to be using the ColourPicker demo to send out RGB colours to the
DMX device.

Cheers,
Jack

Interactive Technologies Cueserver (the mini one). Works great. Easy protocol. IP or 232.

If you need tips on how to create smooth dimming, let me know. I have a method that worked out well in a residential application.

Hi all,

Was there any recommendation for a 'economic' dmx up controller ? I have a residential installation that has 32 channels of dimmable lighting circuits, so don't need a full night club installation.

There seems to be several bits I kit in this thread from simple to complex.

Thanks

Paul
