Just started using this version.  When I open it I get a dialog that tells me a newer version is available and do I want to download it?  The newer version it points to is 2.4.1.0  How do i stop the dialog from recurring or do you need to make a slight adjustment?

Been meaning to ask this for quite a while too. I think it's the version number comparison code that's not doing a proper job at comparing segmented version numbers. Guess that the guiDesigner development team was too busy implementing features :-)

But good catch, we'll eventually get this fixed. Sorry for the hassle.

There are no release notes available yet for this version as it is being used with the latest iViewer TestFlight versions for some new stuff we implemented.

Stay tuned, we'll publish info about new things soon.

This is just because you are using a release that is not public yet - beta build.
We will fix this to remove the confusion.

Not a big issue, I can kill thwarning message.  I just wanted to be sure it was not an inherent problem in the beta release that would bite you when it became public.  By the way the GUI reload option seems to be working fine in the TF release.

I now have a little UDPIP executable on my development system (PC) that when I click it will cause all of the iPads (when iViewer next is ready) to immediately come up and reload the GUI.

It sends a simple command using a UDP message to 192.168.1.255 which is not a true multicast but is received by every host on the 192.268.1 subnet that has a UDP listener on the port I am using (8001).  The only thing I have to verify is that it will work when the backlight is off.  It should since a do something similar for Phone calls, i.e. send a UDP message to the subnet and the ipads turn on the backlight and immediately show the CallerID message.

Yes, the warning no longer show with the latest 2.5.1.0.

Btw, it's convenient to have the build number in the about box. The version is still 2.5.1.0.

I confirm that, and the solidus issue is also resolved so scripts in a folder below the folder containing the gui file is properly set up in this version of the designer
