As I tested same GUI to iOS and Android, iOS can show MJPEG properly(fantastic!), but Andoroid doesn't.
Would you please let me know whether it supports or not?

My Android is , SONY Xperia Z
Android OS is, the latest.4.0.177

MJPEG is supported. This may be a bug happening with the feed you are using. Can you privately send us a URL that fails displaying your feed?

Also, which version of Android OS is your Xperia running? We don't know, nor have all the Android device models (according to Google Play, iViewer can run on 3900+ different models of Android devices!)

Hiro, in the past I had problems with Foscam camera in Android and finally solved when I change the authentication method to http basic. In iPad, this option doesn't matter, at least in my case, but in Android, only http basic worked.

Tulio,

Why weren't we aware of this issue ? I don't think you mentioned it earlier. We can help on this front, if you have such a camera online somewhere that we can connect to.

Sorry Florent,

in the beginning I thought that was an issue of my android (a chinese tablet ) since same project worked in iPhone.

At the moment, the only camera I have in the Internet is in my tv room. Sent you an email with temporary link/user to access.

Florent and Tulio,
Thank for your prompt reply.
  • I have two Android.
    ...SONY Xperia / Android Version...4.2.2
    ...Nexus 7 / Android Version...4.3
It doesn't work with both Android, but iOS is fine.

  • About the camera...
The camera is not public, it's local webcamera.
    http://www.iodata.jp/product/mobile/lancam/ts-wlcam/spec.htm
(Sorry, it's Japanese. But you can see "MJPEG" at the middle of the site.)

Here is my standard method to get " the link" of the MJPEG.
I access to the camera from IE with my laptop,
    1. Open IE
    2. Enter the IP address of the camera
    3. enter default user name and password.
    4. Success to access the camera. (very standard method)
    5. Then I can see arrow, enter-key and some other bunch of buttons.
    6. To get "RAW URL of the camera", right click on the camera screen.
    7. Select "Get URL of this image"
    8. Then copy to URL of "GUI Designer"
In case of this camera, "http://(IPaddress) /snapshot.cgi" is it.

  • I added the "HTTP Basic" on the security tab. but still same
(Could you please refer to the screenshot)
