Hi all,

Recently I started listening to the Command Line podcast and I really
enjoyed every episode, thanks!

It's great that the podcast is also available in the free Ogg format!

Strangely I found that the the link to the Ogg episodes is only
showing the last episode in Gpodder and the link to the mp3 episodes
is showing like +70 episodes.

The links I used
for Ogg "http://feeds2.feedburner.com/cmdln_free"
for mp3 "http://feeds2.feedburner.com/cmdln"

Keep up the good work!

Best regards,
Patrick Craenen

Glad you like the show.

I was unaware of any issued with gPodder but I'll look into it. I use
the exact same tools to maintain the ogg and mp3 feeds, the only
difference is to what host and file the enclosures point. I'll
install gPodder when I get a chance and try to figure out what's what.
If needs be, I'll ping Dan and Fab of Linux Outlaws who apparently
know the author and see if I can enlist their or his help.

I installed gPodder on my work system, running Ubuntu 8.10, Intrepid
Ibex. The version it installed was 0.12.1. I subscribed to the ogg
feed and it loaded the feed fine. It only prompted to download the
most recent ogg file but the rest of the entries are there. I was
able to pick older episodes and download the oggs for those by
right-clicking. I also ran it today since I published a new episode
last night. The new episode showed up just fine.

In the main view, is it trimming to just the last episode? I notice
mine has a nice blue, note icon to indicate downloaded shows and a
green dot for ones I haven't listened to yet.

What version of gPodder do you have installed? Is anyone else using gPodder?

I tried to remove and re-add the feed in gPodder with the same result.
Yes only the last episode is showing in the main window.
I don't have this behavior with any of the other podcast feeds i'm subscribed to.
I'm running Debian Lenny and i have also version 0.12.1 of gPodder installed.
The URL I use in gPodder is http://feeds2.feedburner.com/cmdln_free
I've attached 2 screenshots of gPodder.

Greetings,
Patrick Craenen

Just trying to rule out the obvious. The screenshots make it pretty
clear, though.

I cannot reproduce this problem, at all, then. As I said at the
outset, what is odd is that I use the exact same everything for the
ogg and mp3 feeds. I think the number of entries is the same, too.
To my knowledge, no one else is having issues with the ogg feed, in
gPodder or anything else. Very puzzling that I am seeing the full
feed with the exact same version of the software.

A quick search didn't reveal any info on this problem. I also was not
able to find a known bug in gPodder's bug database. You may want to
try the feed in another client, like Amarok, Exaile or bashpodder to
see if maybe it is some sort of odd networking issue, as unlikely as
that seems. Otherwise, you may want to post to the gPodder mailing
list, see if any of the users or maintainers have an ideas because I
am stumped.

Hi,

I have no experience with gpodder, but maybe the configuration files
are messed up?

To find out, you could try to rename ~/.config/gpodder to
~/.config/gpodder.bak or something like that. Open gpodder and add the
ogg feed. If it shows up correctly this time, it is probably the
configuration files that are messed up. Afterwards, you have to remove
the new ~/.config/gpodder and put back the old one (assuming you don't
want to lose all your other podcasts).

Regards,
Håkon
