I just finished listening to the "Heller on Gridlock and the Tragedy
of the Anticommons" episode of the EconTalk podcast at http://www.econtalk.org/archives/2009/11/heller_on_gridl.html
and I think it would be of interest to listeners (and the producer)
of The Command Line Podcast.

Heller's book, The Gridlock Economy, sounds interesting as well.

Phil,

Thanks for the recommendation, I very much enjoyed Heller's interview
on Econtalk. I'll be adding it to my recommended media page on the
web site. I am currently reading "The Public Domain", by James Boyle,
and Heller's work seems to complement this discussion of the commons.
Both Heller and Boyle provide critical models and rhetoric for
addressing market failures, like the gridlock that can arise due to
too pervasive ownership or the enclosure movements that have and are
threatening the commons of the public domain.

The host also mentioned having Boldren and Levine on, so I may have to
dig that out of the archives and give it a listen, too.
