For example, romance novels are the best-selling form of literature, but to me it has no interest in such books. Likewise, whereas many people enjoy watching soap operas or professional wrestling, but I find no pleasure in those forms of popular culture. On the other hand, I willing to the cinema to see the popular movies and spend money on it.

I think of one examle regarding to the western Valentine's day which it's popular than the Chinese Valentine's day because of the side-production of the western Valentine's day like chocolate, roses and candlelight dinner. From my perspective, it's thos kind of stuff which is attractive spreading out the culture of western Valentine's day although people don't know the spirit of the western Valentine's day which is essential I think. However, this side-products do influence people gruadually in deep heart even they forget about the Chinese valentine's day which is the day of reunion of NiuLang and ZhiNv. People in china know this story much better than western Valentine's story, but they don't have any feeling on this kind of celebration or not sensitive. Thus, in the long term, people will come into being a identity which means that they adapt to the most popular form of culture but not their own religion. At this point, I don't think people make their choices passively but being affected gradually.

For me, I will just respect all kinds of popular culture. As the culture is always complex, it combines a lot of different and developing  factors inside. It can be changed by the time. So, I just respect it. Accept the things that you think it can bring you positive feelings and be sure to ignore the things that you dont like. That is what I will do.

In my opinion, we should always keep an open mind, which tells us to accept different ideologies and values, but we also need keep our fundamental principles, which directs us what kinds of values and ideologies are acceptable. For me, there is no big difference between different cultures. Because cultures like the moives, we all can watch and understand movies no matter where the moives come from. Only some circumstances have some conflicts, which are almost influenced by the different values. So we shouldn't be too conservative or traditional. The reason why I have these kinds of ideas that is beacause I am always optimistic and open mind. If I have some conflicts with someone who has diffenert cultures. I will try to fit him instead of arguing with him , I know some ideas are very deep-rooted, so only changing my own ideas that will help me more convenient to communicate with other people. By the way, I want to introduce one moive, which's name is Inception. That is a good movie to undrrstand what is the ideoloties, concepts, ideas, and cultures.

The culture’s development and popularity cannot leave without the background of its era. The culture’s can express form the fashion, standard of consumption, the way of relax, life style, people’s taste and so on. For instance, in ancient China, the man need to keep the long hair expect the monk. The clothes’ styles are quite different from now. in addition, teleology also influence the culture. For example, twenty years ago, people rarely used mobile phone; ten years ago, the mobile phones are widely used but just for calling people; and now almost every person has a mobile not only using as calling people, but also playing for fun.

For me, i would like to try something new from different culture. Before i accept it, i should understand the history of this culture in its country of origin. Chinese young people can accept most American culture. But sometime blindly accept negative. Such like fast food. The cultural differences make a lot of misunderstanding. That is what we need to be vigilant on the one hand.

New York drama, hip-hop, Hollywood, Oscar, fashion apparel, American culture, affect our lives. Eastern New York, Philadelphia, Washington, focused on the history and culture; west Los Angeles, San Francisco and Las Vegas will focus on entertainment and leisure. If you are a construction fan, then Washington will make you yearn for endless, there are hundreds at memorial buildings, monuments and statues. If you are the stock fan, then Manhattan and you will dumbfounded.

As for myself, since I came to US I feels like I will never be apart of this social. But as time goes by, I became more westizen, I prefer Mcdonald's rather than Chinese food because those food is very convince, I prefer to rent a house rather than an apartment because I love the casual life, cuz I can not take it more of crowd all day. Those choices makes me more adapt this country and did make huge influence of my cultural identity.

I choose the multicultural way to develop myself. I combine both type of cultures which are modern and tradition. My traditional culture help me to have high self-awareness about who I am and where I come from as well as other aspect. However, my modern culture takes influence on my thinking and and perception, which makes me feel so different from any people in my country.

I want to talk about the influence of American pub culture. In China, people used to drink a lot of shaohsing wine during the dinner in the past. Some Chinese people like drinking. People could only drink at home. nowadays, they could go to the pub after the dinner. After the Chinese improvement, Chinese pub is different from the American pub. Chinese pub become a symbol of identity because the expensive cost of pubs. In my mind, only the rich guys could go to the pub and enjoy the night in China.

In the Christmas, December 25th, our country will also celebrate. That is not because that day is Christmas but because that day is the Constitution Day, to our country that is an important day. However, nowadays new generations don’t care Constitution Day, because they choose to accept American culture. That is, Christmas becomes more important than before, and even more important than the original reason why we celebrate in December 25th. To me, I also think Christmas is more important. In my opinion, the choice I made influences the formation of my cultural identity. My cultural identity is not similar to the primitive Chinese culture, because of the long time to get along with Japan culture and American culture. By this example, my formation of my cultural identity shows some differences what the traditional Chinese culture sound like. Hence, I think my culture is going away from tradition Chinese culture and develops to a new culture. I am not just to follow some old festival  is the choice what I made to influence the formation of my cultural identity.
