There are so many advantages, but I think breaking stereotypes is the significant change you can get from intercultural communication. Communicating directly can help you learn more about a different culture, more than anything that you can learn from the books or through any other means of media. For example, people always have bad prejudice of Muslim, but all the things, which we have known, are under others’ views. For me, if it’s that bad, why do people keep following? Therefore, they are all subjective and could be changed, different from the truth. Everything we know is just things people want us to know. That’s why it’s very important to experience other cultures by ourselves, it will break our stereotypes.

In my opinion, taking a dialectical perspective on intercultural relationships has many advantages, this way can reflect that intercultural have some advantages and some problems. We need to accept intercultural and refuse some problems. For example, KFC and McDonald got foot in Chinese market and they are very popular to Chinese people. And American fast food culture is very convenient, and it’s easy to accept in China, and every medium or big cities all have KFC and McDonald restaurant. But at the same time, this fast food influence Chinese traditional eating customer. Based on this reason, Chinese people create some Chinese fast food restaurants for saving Chinese traditional eating customer.

I think that the advantages of taking a dialectical perspective on intercultural relationships are very important. If you used Differences-Similarities Dialectic, you can compare the difference between east culture and west culture .Such as ,In China, people like to buy the litter car, because the price is expensive, fuel-efficient car, and the Chinese people most thin. In America, people like to buy a cart, such as pickup, because the price is cheaper, but most Americans are big size. In China, people like to do all kinds of food, to spend a lot of time. In the United States, most people like to eat simple food, such as fast food. So I think advantages of taking a dialectical perspective on intercultural relationships is very important.
