1. Define “identity” in your own words. Which perspective (Social Science, Interpretive, Critical) do you think your explanation related? Give your own identity profile:
I think identity is very specific. It talks about your information and what you like and how you are like in others opinions including your gender, race, age, appearance, nationality, religion, culture, reputation, credit, and value. In my opinion, identity is something which can stand for you. For example, if your identity is a good student who is male, Russian, eighteen years old, good looking, owning French passport, and Christian , it means you are working-hard , polite, friendly, enthusiasm, Well-behaved, and justice, and it can stand for you. I think my explanation is more related to interpretive perspective. The reason is that my identity profiles are about what others think about you except some basic information. How can they know you and form what you are? By communicating with others including you, your family, friends , or getting information from newspaper , TV, even internet, they give you an identity in their mind, and that is how to identify a identity in interpretive perspective.
