PZ Twist is our new sustainable, easy-to-use and high performance spray pump. Thanks to the twist-to-lock technology with a new intuitive gesture, no cap is needed. Ideal for sun care and hair care applications.
PZ Twist can be opened and closed by turning the actuator until you hear a clicking sound: no cap is needed! It is also available in POM-free format, allowing for high recyclability (96% recyclable). PZ Twist is also available with Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) resin.
PZ Twist offers the superior spray performance of our well-known PZ engines. It is suitable with a wide range of applications, including sun care and hair care. The protection of the insert in the shielded version guarantees hygienic dispensing at all times.
Tests were carried out to determine the new pump compatibility with various types of formula viscosities: it is adapted to hygiene and body and hair care products with two neck sizes, high (28/410) and low (28/400), and a 2-cc dose. A 1.5-cc neck dose is scheduled for late 2021. In addition, Aptar offers a full-pack option with 500- and 300-ml round bottles either biosourced or made of conventional PE, PCR or Ocean Plastic.
The 360 rotary spout makes it possible to hold the actuator in any direction and reduces risks of breakage for e-commerce. Aesthetically, the dip tube does not feature any visible mechanism, so it harmoniously fits in a transparent PET bottle.

For the fragrance it designed two spray caps of 60 and 100 ml, including an on/off system. Supported by a 100-mcl dose VP Compact pump, they each integrate a completely new actuator incorporating a fixed spray technology designed in collaboration with MBF.
The 100 ml after-shave lotion has been produced with a specific cap consisting of three different parts, to which MBF has added a tightness stem. Future pump answers the packaging dichotomy, to meet both sustainability and robustness for e-commerce compliance without an additional piece (e-commerce clip or sleeve), while reducing the impact of the CO2, and integrating the fully recyclable system into the circular economy.
This modern incorporated system renders Future compliant with the rigorous ISTA 6-Amazon protocol, consisting of more than 15 stress tests (vibration, choc, leakage, etc) that challenge the capability of the package and product to withstand transport hazards.
The main challenge is to combine e-commerce capability with the strong robustness of our products and sustainability with a lighter weight, recycled and/or recyclable resin and less plastic. With Future, we managed to integrate both aspects in the design of the pump: no e-commerce clip or sleeve is needed, and the pump is fully recyclable.

AptarGroup, Inc., also known as Aptar, is a United States-based global manufacturer of consumer dispensing packaging and drug delivery devices.[7][1] The group has manufacturing operations in 18 countries.[8]
The company began as Werner Die & Stamping in Cary, Illinois, in 1946 and later incorporated as AptarGroup in 1992.[1][9] Aptar originally developed spray valves and pumps for consumer and household products. The company later began producing nasal administration and pulmonary drug delivery devices such as nasal spray systems and metered-dose inhaler valves.[9][10][11][12] Biotech and pharmaceutical companies use Aptar's different Unidose and Bidose devices for the single or two-shot intranasal delivery of different medicines.[13]
In 2016, Aptar announced that it provided the delivery system for Adapt Pharma's Narcan.[14] Narcan is a naloxone hydrochloride nasal spray used as an emergency treatment for opioid overdoses.[14] Aptar's liquid spray drug delivery technology platform works as a ready-to-use, single-shot, unit-dose system for Narcan. It was the first FDA approved nasally administered, ready-to-use medication used to reverse the effects of an opioid overdose.[14] Narcan does not require any assembly, medical training, or needle injection.[15]
Aptar entered into an agreement in 2016 with Propeller Health Partners to develop a digitally connected medication inhaler.[18] The company made an investment in Propeller Health Partners (now part of Resmed) in 2018.[19]
In 2012, Aptar acquired Stelmi, a manufacturer of elastomer primary packaging components.[21] In 2016, Aptar acquired Mega Airless, a manufacturer of airless packaging solutions.[22] In 2018, Aptar acquired CSP Technologies, a material science company that manufactures active packaging solutions.[23]
In June 2019, Aptar acquired two companies, Nanopharm and Gateway Analytical.[24] In November 2019, the company acquired Noble International, which specializes in training devices and patient onboarding.[25] In February 2020, Aptar acquired FusionPKG, a makeup packaging company.[26][27]
