OK people, fun time is here again!

Mark off Saturday 25 Jan 2014 and head down to LASALLE College of the Arts for these 2 comics events:

1. 4-Hour Comics Challenge

11am to 3pm.  Room D501.  Take the lift up to level 5 at Block F and cross the sky bridge.  It's a big room with a glass wall (one of the rooms we used for 24Hr Comics Day back in October).

No need to register.  No rules.  Just show up and see if you can create a complete story at the end of 4 hours.  Prepare beforehand if you want.  Bring your own art material.  Work alone or collaborate.  Not a competition, so no prizes.  Show off your work when you're done.  Be ready to chat and make friends!

Highly recommended: do some reading and research to get ideas before the big day.

If you're not feeling productive, just be a spectator and marinate yourself in all the creative juices.  Just join us!

2. Comics Mayhem

3 to 5pm.  Lowercase Cafe at LASALLE ground floor.

This is an informal sharing and learning session over free refreshments, courtesy of NAC.  Free to attend -- please register here so that we know how much food to prepare: http://matchboxmayhem-2.peatix.com/

- If you have a completed or ongoing comics project, please share your work and talk about what you have learned.  (Use the projector for your laptop if you want.)  Find out if resources are available to bring your project to the next level.

- Topics will include:
    * Grants and assistance schemes available from NAC
    * Dedicated crowdfunding platform for comics
    * Local platforms for showcasing digital comics
    * Comics by various creators who have been quietly working on their own projects

- Chat with people and hear about what they are working on.

- Inspire and be inspired!

Please ask for details if you're interested to present something!
