[Lass Giselle]

Title says it all. I'm an experienced cosplayer, but xkcd has better
art than what I'm capable of producing. I'd like to sit down with a
drawfriend to get a sketch made up of the modified-meisterin costume
I'm planning to make. Any generous /co/mrades willing to help a sister
out?

I'm planning on basing it on the "standard" costume (purple suit, pimp
hat), but modifying the shape of it to look like a Lady-GaGa-does-
Cabaret/female ringleader idea. Most of the inspiration I'm getting
right now is from Britney Spears's ringleader outfit from her Circus
tour:

She has those three gold knots across her chest, I'd use the three
double quarter notes on MM's chest instead; instead of a real "suit"
I'd do ringleader tails; I love the black girdle and hotpants (though
I'd make them purple, and use purple fishnet stockings down to some
wingtips with spats instead of the high boots she's wearing).

I'm also wondering whether it would be better to keep the long purple
sleeves or to make the whole outfit strapless and wear faux
shirtsleeve cuffs like the old Playboy bunnies.

Also, I'm absolutely keeping the pimp hat and cane. ^_^

Anything you can do with this would be majorly, majorly appreciated.

That's such a fun idea! I can try to do one version with long purple
sleeves and another with faux cuffs. I'll get on it after a quick nap.

Awesome. I don't know if you involve this kind of thing in drawing up
a character, but I'm about 5'8", 38-26-38. (Hopefully a little smaller
by summer, but we'll have to see.) Medium tall and roughly hourglass
shaped if not exceptionally "curvy".

Ah. My nap ran a bit longer than I expected. I totally have some
sketches down. I'll post some colored pictures tomorrow.

I couldn't really decide on one look, so I ended up compiling a big
dress-up sort of thing. If you have photoshop, you can download
the .psd file and play around with the different layers to mix and
match the accessories and such. (Like those Flash dress up games!
Except not... on Flash.)

MM's hat's supposed to be black, but I was so accustomed to making it
purple that I forgot until I was done with the picture. Oops.

If you want anything fixed or added, just send those suggestions my

Oh my god, you're sooooo awesome. :D You must let me take you out for
a drink at the con or something to thank you!

Like I said above, the only other thing I was thinking of was a
totally-strapless version more similar to a playboy bunny (with
completely detached bowtie and cuffs), but I like yours better! I'm
totally adopting the puffy sleeves and the girl-ified pimp hat.

Haha! No problem. I love drawing alt oufits and such. You don't have
to worry about it.

I actually had a playboy bunny outfit-ish thing going on on photoshop,
but I didn't include it in the final picture because I was lazy and
didn't want to make the image bigger than it already was.
