As mentioned many a time in the planning stages for this meet-up, some
of us would like to sing an episode or cameo pitch for the Music
Meister at the BATB panel. Last I checked, the storyline was the one
that a writefag did, in which MM breaks out of Arkham, and Batman
enlists Black Canary to help capture him. (If somebody would be so
kind as to provide the link to it, I'd appreciate it!)

Due to the fact that we'd more than likely be kicked off the mic if we
sang the entire pitch, singing a little intro to it seems to be a
little more practical. And easier to remember.

Thanks to anon, we have this little diddy:

Dear friends, we loved your work.
The Meister was simply grand!
We'd like to see him sing again-
You just might call us fans!

Now that his show is over
We've all got a particular itch
Humor us for a minute
And listen to our pitch.

While they didn't include a tune to sing it to, the first part fits
perfectly with,

Put down your arms, my friends
Your arrows, guns and swords.
Your resistance to my charm now ends
When I belt these power chords!

With a little tweaking, the second part could fit with (although not
in the order of the original song),
As I regale you with my story,
You'll know you have no choice
But to do my evil bidding
When you hear this booming voice

My stab at it is
Now that his show is sadly over
We've all got a certain itch
So please humor us for a minute
While we tell you our exciting pitch!

Eh, I tried. If anybody wants to work on it, or has other suggestions
for this whole thing, feel free to share! I just wanted to post this
here so we can have a solid reference to go to.

Can we get a youtube link up in here? I've had some experience with
writing parodies, but I can't find the song you're referring to, and
to be able to help I'll need to listen to it an ungodly amount of
times. Pity my housemates...

Yep, that's the song!

And since some people have concern over us doing this, lemme say that
it is NOT set in stone that we'll do this. If we do, we do, if we
don't, we don't, and move on. But it's a fun idea, nonetheless!

I was at last year's panel when they debuted the episode. When they
did questions, someone asked if they were going to do any episodes
based on big storylines like Infinite Crisis. (Yeah, I know.) It was
either Bader or DiMaggio who said "only if they are also musicals."

That's my story.

Haha, awesome. I wish I was there to see it! A friend of mine said
that people gave it a standing ovation.

Here's hoping that they have more people on board for the panel, like
voice actors other than Bader and DiMaggio. Tom Kenny (Plastic Man),
James Arnold Taylor (Guy and Green Arrow), Grey DeLisle (Canary),
etc.
