Also is this group going to be updated quasi-frequently (Haha, oh
shit, I just used "quasi" improperly!)? Such as where to meet (IE:
Outside of dem animu viewing halls or those panel rooms...area to the
right after you get your free bag of swag and your sweet ass pass
(es?) )and all that jazz. Since /co/, being /co/ and having somewhat
high traffic, would be kind of hard to track for the threads and all
that shit.
Also people who do live in San Diego, be sure to act like a
stereotypical surf bum in order to perpetuate stereotypes. I know /I/
will. Hoho!
I'm not a veteran or anything but I've been going for a few years and
I've seen a couple of groups meet up right outside the exhibit hall.
There was a really awesome Marvel group two years ago that met there.
I'm guessing we'd have to figure out which exit to meet at if we're
meeting right outside of the exhibit hall.
Hm. I guess it would really all depend on how long we're going to hang
out for. If we're all attending the BATB panel, we can probably meet
in front of the room the panel will be held in and get in line
together? I don't know if /co/mrades want to get lunch together or
anything.
Sorry for that. Sleep deprivation is not a pleasant thing.
And now we playing the waiting game. For all that delicious new
information to be released. When does the 'con newsletter usually get
mailed out? That stuff is usually a good read, though it really
doesn't give out too much useful information on where stuff is being
held...I don't think.
Programming comes out two weeks before the con starts.
I've never stood in it (I've been in the masquerade 6 of the last 10
years, didn't attend the con for 3 of them, and got a vip/backstage
ticket for the remaining one), but I've heard it really is literally
all day in the sun. Has there been ANY improvement at all?
Friends and I went to see how long it is (and to laugh at the people
standing in line because holy shit having fun staying in line all
day?). When it started there was already the predictable line and it
just kept on going (moar liek going downhill amirite). It wrapped
around the viewing rooms/area for the ball multiple times. You
couldn't fathom how long that line was.
Also on the trolley back to Mission Valley there were cosplayers
aplenty looking disgruntled/sullen/crying.
Thus is the tale of the Masquerade Ball line
