Just for fun...Which three comics?

A podcast I listened to recently proposed the following scenario just
for fun; You can get only three comic books - one from Marvel, one
from DC, one from an independent publisher. What books would you get?
Obviously, Vertigo and Wildstorm would still count as a DC book, Icon
and MAX would count as Marvel, etc.
Here are my choices:
MARVEL - Ultimate Spider-Man
DC - Secret Six
INDEPENDENT - Love and Capes

That's funny, I came very close to making Amazing Spider-Man my Marvel
pick. Ultimately (no pun intended) I decided that I like having one
consistent creative team on a book and so far Bendis and LaFuente have
been hitting home runs on USM. Plus, I get a little tired of the down
on his luck Peter Parker...the only adult in the Marvel U that still
has the problems of a teenager. ;)

oh man this is a toughy. i stopped buying most comics recently too, and, to top it off, most of my favorite series have ended or are ending soon. Avengers: The Initiative = cancelled. Tales of the TMNT = ending. SFII Turbo = just ended. ooooo so difficult to figure it out! okay, based on exactly what books are getting published right now, i guess i'd go with:
Marvel - X-Men Legacy
DC - Power Girl
Indie - Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors
even those choices sorta suck cause Power Girl's getting a huge creative team change soon, X-Men Legacy switched focus a few months back, and Darkstalkers is just a three-issue mini. in a perfect world, i'd be able to say:
Marvel - A:TI
DC - Aquaman
Indie - Street Fighter
