CometD 2.4.2 Released

CometD 2.4.2 has been released.

This is a minor bug fix release over 2.4.1, based (like 2.4.1) on Jetty 7.6.3.
It contains updates to Dojo 1.7.2 and jQuery 1.7.2.

CometD 2.4.2 contains a new feature, i.e. the ability to unregister a
service mapping on inherited services (see
http://bugs.cometd.org/browse/COMETD-369), and few bug fixes, listed
here:
http://bugs.cometd.org/secure/ReleaseNote.jspa?projectId=10000&version=10472

We have already started working on CometD 2.5.0, whose main feature
will be the support for script loaders based on AMD (asynchronous
module definition) for the JavaScript client library.
Applications can therefore use Dojo 1.7 or RequireJS to load CometD in
the typical AMD style.
We plan to release 2.5.0-beta1 on Monday to allow people to start
playing with the new features and give us feedback.
CometD 2.4.2 will remain the stable release until 2.5.0 final will be released.
