Comet 2026.02 rev. 1 is now available.

This v2026.02 rev. 1 release's most significant change is the deprecation of Thermo's old COM library (MSFileReader) for reading .raw files.  Its been replaced with the updated.NET library (RawFileReader).  For Windows users, there's no longer a requirement for installing/registering the old COM library.  There are now two DLLs (ThermoFisher.CommonCore.Data.dll and ThermoFisher.CommonCore.RawFileReader.dll) that are included in the release assets; simply place them in the same directory as the Comet windows binary. 

There are many behind the scenes updates/fixes that are noted in the release notes. A couple of examples include fully synchronizing results between RTS and batch index searches and finally addressing E-value jitter between replicate searches.
