Dear Devs,

I am trying to use ideas from Extending Comet for global amino acid variant and post-translational modification analysis using the PSI extended FASTA format (PEFF). - PMC (nih.gov) but facing following error:

- Search progress: *** buffer overflow detected ***: terminated

Aborted (core dumped)

Attached parameter, let me know in case there is some glaring issue with the parameter? I must mention that a typical search with a fasta file is working just fine.

Hi Ani. This should be fun debugging. Although I'm sure I can invoke the segfault with my own data, would you mind sending me the mgf file if it's shareable?

Just to give an update to this for anyone who may come across this thread in the future, the buffer overflow issue is already addressed in the latest Comet 2022.01.0.
