The Role

We are looking for a passionate, talented and inventive DSP Firmware engineer to join our team. In this role, you will:

• Design and implement state of the art embedded Audio DSP algorithms and firmware in resource constrained environment.
• Be the single threaded owner of Audio DSP deliveries across Lab126.
• Engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive and design innovative consumer products
• Work closely with an internal inter-disciplinary team, and outside partners to drive key aspects of product definition, execution and test
• Be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment
  

About The Team

The team is made up of DSP FW and Algorithm engineers working across a plethora of projects. The team is the Single Threaded Owner (STO) of all Audio DSP images produced within LAb126. We work on a variety of DSPs and HW platforms implementing designs in both C/C++, assembly language, and MATLAB. Machine learning and low-power optimizations are the norm for the team.


Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Proficiency in C++ in an embedded/firmware environment.
• Fixed-pt implementation experience is a plus.
• Hands-on DSP algorithm and framework experience is a must.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Knowledge of digital signal processing theory
• Experience in various audio signal processing technologies
• Real-time audio processing experience
• System-level modeling with SystemC or other virtualization tool suites is a plus.
• Independent, self-motivated worker requiring minimal supervision
• Excellent communication skills
