Dear BioModels users and community members,

We would like to remind you that BioModels has now fully transitioned to the new domain https://biomodels.org/. If you have not done so already, please start using this domain going forward.

The transition has been smooth, and almost all services continue to operate as usual. We are happy to see users accessing BioModels again as normal using the new URL.

For computational access, APIs are available via biomodels.org. API users, including software developers who have implemented the previous REST API in their tools should update the base URL to biomodels.org.

More details about the API are available here: https://www.biomodels.org/docs/

From 1st March 2026, we will begin redirecting https://www.ebi.ac.uk/biomodels to https://biomodels.org. After this point, previous API endpoints may no longer work, so we strongly encourage updating your tools and workflows before then.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me directly.

We will also organise a drop-in session on 5 February, 13:00–15:00 UK time (GMT). Please join us if you have any questions or would like support with the transition.

If you are interested in joining the session, please register using the link below. We will then share the Zoom link with you. https://embl-org.zoom.us/j/93552316903?pwd=5PuRL16LYp6jUzRSw8slSfCreQhL5u.1

Kindly share this announcement with interested colleagues and collaborators in your network, department, and institution.

Thank you for your continued support of BioModels.

Best regards,
Sheriff
On behalf of the BioModels Team
