Hi all,

We are looking for participants for a code-a-thon being organised as part of the NIH SPARC programme. No particluar domain skills are required - we will form teams to ensure an even spread of knowledge and expertise. We will also run a AWS Tech Essentials workshop on July 9 which can be attended live or self-paced.

Help make SPARC data, tools, and resources more Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable in this in-the-cloud codeathon that runs from July 12-26, 2021. In this codeathon, exciting projects which use SPARC data and/or SPARC tools and resources in novel ways, particularly in enhancing, demonstrating, or measuring the findability, accessibility, interoperability, or reusability (FAIR) of the data will take shape.  An optional free workshop, AWS Technical Essentials, will be offered July 9, 2021. Various SPARC experts will be available during the event to help with technical advice as needed. For more information visit the SPARC FAIR Codeathon webpage. When: Codeathon runs July 12-26, 2021 Eligibility: Competitors from the United States and abroad are eligible. Prizes Available: Several prizes of up to US$10,000 each will be awarded.
