It can be distinguished from other sans serif typefaces by its more traditional double-storey a and especially g (double-storey gs, common in serif fonts, are rare in sans-serif fonts following German models, but were quite common in American and British designs of the period), the tail of the Q and the ear of the g. The tail of the Q curls down from the center of the letterform.
League Gothic is a condensed sans-serif typeface released by The League of Moveable Type. The design of League Gothic was based on Alternate Gothic, a typeface originally designed by Morris Fuller Benton in 1903. Both No. 1 and No. 2 are available, each in a single semi-bold weight.[13]
A contemporary sans serif design, Arial contains more humanist characteristics than many of its predecessors and as such is more in tune with the mood of the last decades of the twentieth century. The overall treatment of curves is softer and fuller than in most industrial style sans serif faces. Terminal strokes are cut on the diagonal which helps to give the face a less mechanical appearance. Arial is an extremely versatile family of typefaces which can be used with equal success for text setting in reports, presentations, magazines etc, and for display use in newspapers, advertising and promotions.

Like Bill Gates, "Bucky" Fuller left Harvard sans degree, but he collected 40 honorary doctorates, as well as the Presidential Medal of Freedom shortly before his death in 1983. Always on the go, he famously wore three watches: one for his current time zone, one for the zone he had departed and one for his next destination.
In 1908, Morris Fuller Benton designed News Gothic for American Type Founders. The original design, with two condensed faces, is essentially a light version of Franklin Gothic. In the late 1940s, after a decline in popularity because of the success of the sans serifs from Europe (i.e., Gill Sans, Futura, Kabel), American gothic typefaces made a comeback. It was during this time that more versions of News Gothic were designed, including News Gothic Bold, which Intertype released in 1955. Like Franklin Gothic, these typefaces are classics for newspaper headlines, advertising, and packaging.
For a luxurious splurge that delivers what it promises, look no further than the La Mer Lip Volumiser. Old school plumpers relied on irritants like capsicum to temporarily plump lips (while causing much discomfort!), but this luxe treatment uses a less jarring blend of antioxidant-rich lime tea concentrate, marine ingredients and nutrient-rich minerals to reduce the appearance of fine lines and create the illusion of fuller, thicker lips.
For example, a bank that wants to be perceived as stable, reputable and well-established could choose a traditional serif-style font, whereas an IT company who wants to be perceived as innovative, intelligent and forward-thinking is more likely to opt for a modern sans serif font.
Be inspired by Time and mix up traditional serif typefaces with more modern serifs and sans serifs. You can see on the cover here that there are two further fonts in use, a thin sans serif for the running header at the top (try out any sans serif font with a light weight, or Verb Cond Extra Light for a closer match) and an elegant serif typeface for the article summary (try Proforma, Elena or FF Scala).
For several years now, I have been working intermitently with LaTeX on a book-length document using the memoir class. Due to their superior font-handling capabilities, I saved my work in mostly-identical XeLaTeX and LuaLaTeX versions, tending to favor the latter, due to its fuller implementation of the microtype package, but keeping up with the former, just in case. It appears I have now hit such a just-in-case moment, but I don't want to give up on the Lua if I can help it.
Despite Iyer's belligerence, the Australian bowlers, sans frontline pacers Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood who have been rested, must take heart by their performances. On a batting paradise, pacers Jackson Bird and Mitchell Marsh put the openers in check. And even after being clobbered by Iyer, spinners Nathan Lyon and Stephen O'Keefe stuck to fuller lines, thus depriving the batsmen of freebies.
Lyon, especially, struck the right balance of bowling fuller lines without offering too much loop. It resulted in him extracting appreciable bounce, which was instrumental in the dismissals of both the India 'A' openers. While left-hander Akhil Herwadkar top-edged one straight to the off-spinner, Lyon got one to rise sharply on Priyank Panchal in the last over before tea; the right-hander could only offer Peter Handscomb a dolly at forward short-leg.
