I need to assign tasks to staff in a factory who do not use computers and this software. The managers handle everything. We still need to see how long a task takes within each stage by the worker (assignee).

How can we best do this? I know we can make up users who never even see the board but obviously cost becomes an issue there with "users".

I think your board is the best I've seen - apart from the no bulk import which could be a killer - but it seems odd no one makes a board that would actually appeal to so many "manufacturing" type companies where they don't have or want the workers involved with the software, just doing the work. The problem is basically that task assignees have been assumed to be board users when those are different things in many businesses.

Seems to me a great opportunity to have assignees who don't log in, rather than everyone chasing the same types of "collaboration to the nth degree" type business. For example, our staff are using heavy machinery and dirty. The managers handle this type of work. Or imagine a huge sewing shop, or phone service, with 300 or 1000 workers? The staff are not actually users of the board though the company really needs software to assign and track their tasks.

Any ideas?

thanks!
