Welcome to another edition of the Columns of Knowledge newsletter.
This week we have some more great shows to let you know about....
But first: Columns of Knowledge Recordings has some announcements:
Our first release has been put on Beatport as of 10/10/11. It will be available there exclusively for only 1 more week. Please show support for our 1st release. It's an edgy electro release from New England native Knowlton Walsh.
Knowlton Walsh has been a staple in the New England dance scene for almost 10 years. Honing his skills in Florida he came home to Providence in 2003 bringing a new flavor to the Rhode Island house scene. Recently he has become well known on the electro front for his collaborations with Hot Pink Delorean, as well as his single 'Animal' which garnered international recognition as well as heavy rotation on the Music Choice network. Previous releases and remixes on Nosi Music have put him alongside B Rich, Thee-O, Tony Gamboa, and Bitwise. The highly addictive electro house of UTKU S on the remix chores commands attention on our first electro release. Utku knows what people want to hear, how innovative sounds work, and how to present the best remix in any project he takes on. This year has shown him appear on Plasmapool, Big Alliance Records, Lot49, Big Fish Recordings, Sismic Music, Royal Fetish Recordings and worked with the likes of Miles Dyson, Dylan Rhymes, Lazy Rich, Vandal, and Meat Katie with his remixes being played by some of the biggest dance DJs worldwide. His remix crosses boundaries from blistering electro house to nu disco with a dubstep breakdown that borders on an industrial idm experience. You will need a fire extinguisher for your speakers after this one!

"*Please note there are two events Scheduled for this. Friday Nov 4th will be a gathering at Racks in Portland with her family. This is an outdoor party in Wayne the following night for all of her friends.
As we all have heard the devastating news about our beloved friend, many emotions come to the surface in waves. Sadness, anger, reflection of how precious our mortality truly is. This is about embracing what a beautiful person Christiana was with one last goodbye until she can be laid to rest.
It's important to do this right.
We want to throw a kickass party we know she would approve of.
We want to have all of her favorite djs in tow playing music we know she loved.
We want to know she is in spirit, right there with us all night long.
We don't want to do this in a club where we have to send home people early & limit people under 21 from celebrating her life.
