EdgeCase is proud to announce that for the February meeting we will be
bringing in Yehuda Katz (wycats) to speak about Merb and Rails 3.0.
We figured who better to present about the upcoming merger of Rails
and Merb than someone who is employed by Engine Yard full time to work
on Merb. Yehuda has always been at the forefront of our industry,
first with JQuery and now with Merb. This is something we are very
excited about and hopefully you are as well. It has been some time
since we brought in a high-caliber speaker, especially one like wycats.
BIO: Yehuda is currently employed by Engine Yard, and works full time
on the Merb project. He is the co-author of jQuery in Action and the
upcoming Merb in Action, and is a contributor to Ruby in Practice. He
spends most of his time hacking on Merb, but also on other Ruby
community projects, like Rubinius and Datamapper. And when the
solution doesn't yet exist, he'll try his hand at creating one -- as
such, he's also created projects like Thor and DO.rb.
We will have a formal presentation that night followed by a question
answer session, followed of course with beer at The Rusty Bucket in
the parking lot.
Bring your friends, and if you are really weird, bring your date.
This is gonna be a great night.
Again note this is for NEXT months meeting.
-Joe
