I'm working on a couple projects that are in desperate need of more
(paid) help - mostly Rails stuff, some legacy PHP bits. It would be
even better if you've tried Hobo before (or used it for a project).
Hours are flexible, and the pay is negotiable. Workplace environment
is variable, from telecommuting to very laid back... let's put it this
way - "casual Friday" is when your boss "casually" hands you a beer at
2:30pm on a Friday. OK, not always *that* much of a party, but this
isn't your typical 9-5 corporate gig; you'll be expected to learn a
lot and push your skills (I've learned more in the past 3 months about
Postfix than I ever wanted to know).
Anybody who's interested can either email me off-list, or call at
(614) 806-1628.
Thanks!

There's been some pretty radical changes in the last year or so; I
didn't realize *how* radical until I was upgrading one of my current
projects from Hobo 0.7.2 (January 2008) to the current version. The
whole permission systems been rewritten, and there are some really
cool new features that help structure some of the typical Rails app
activities (check out the lifecycles docs on
cookbook.hobocentral.net). There's still some rough edges to sand off
(for instance, I've been working on getting everything to work right
with STI), but it's come a long way.
I seem to recall hearing that somebody gave a Hobo presentation back
in 2007 sometime; when I get my head above water project-wise I'm
hoping to give one again. In the meantime, I'm always glad to answer
questions.
Thanks!
