You can’t beat free peanuts

The festival at St. Matthew the Apostle in Gahanna is one of my
favorites--and now I love it even more!

In addition to easy parking, good blackjack rules, fun dealers (who
occasionally relax the rules), convenient food and beer and even table-
side food and beverage service, the festival now provides…(drum roll
please)…free peanuts, pretzels and popcorn.

It’s great to have a tasty salty snack to eat while playing cards and
having a good time.

Look for small baskets of salted peanuts in the shell at the outdoor
beer truck. Get an ice cold beer at the truck and a basket of peanuts
before going into the gymnasium casino area.

Inside the casino, the roaming food and beverage carts offer baskets
of pretzels and popcorn for the taking.
