A reminder: our next meeting is Sunday April 13- at our normal location – the Columbus Main Library on 96 S. Grant Ave. – in Room 3A from 3-5 PM.

We’ll have our “pre-meeting” chat on the library’s first floor from 2-3 pm in the back by the Carnegie Café (not open, so bring your snack/drink as desired).
Lastly, we’ll have dinner right after the meeting at 5:05ish at Matt and Tony’s Kitchen+Tavern at 340 E. Gay Street, Columbus – a couple of blocks from the library (with parking on the street).

If you have any desired discussion items to mention beforehand, please let me know.
For those new to our meetings, the following is the normal agenda:
1) Group intro
2) Personal intros
3) Initial questions (if any) by new members
4) Additional questions/discussions (depending on the length of #3, which sometimes can take the entire 2 hours)

Typically have 15 to 20 people attend each meeting.
Next month we will meet on May 4 to avoid Mother's Day.

Please join us.
Mark

This is the Bogleheads thread I quickly mentioned at Sunday's meeting.
I found it enlightening.

https://www.bogleheads.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=457656

My take-aways:
1) You can't really age in place, but some do try
2) Aging in place is usually a burden for some child.  Be aware before
and while the effect your decisions are having
3) Long term is only discussed by one participant, who commented how
difficult it was getting any
payments from the insurance company.

Read and draw your own conclusions, but from my perspective a care
facility of some kind is in all our futures.

Regards,
Mark
