Pilgrimage of the Heart Khilvat
March 15-20, 2026
Port Orchard, Washington
“In a world of noise, confusion and conflict,
it is necessary that there is a place of inner silence and peace;
not the peace of mere relaxation but the peace of inner clarity and love.” Thomas Merton
— Is your spirit seeking a refuge where you can rest in peace and harmony, connect with joy, and expand inner clarity?
— Are you longing to find a space where you can disconnect from all the external chaos and reconnect with the heart of Love?
Nur Mariam Simmons and Mujiba Berkana have created a sacred container where you may be held in the refuge of silence and the beauty of nature to rest in stillness and find peace and solace. Khilvats or retreats are spiritual pilgrimages that provide a person the opportunity to turn one’s gaze inward, touch stillness, and find the Divine within one’s heart. This time of deep listening and practice can open doors of personal transformation and healing.
Come join this pilgrimage of the heart on the beautiful 120 acre NW rainforest campus of Pilgrim Firs Center. Individualized programs will be created for each person by Nur Mariam or Mujiba based on your heart’s desire
for taking this time to be on retreat.
Cost of $615 includes comfortable lodging, vegetarian meals, expressive art opportunities, hiking trails around a peaceful lake, a large labyrinth, and daily personal interviews with Mujiba or Nur Mariam. Linens are available at an additional cost of $15. Deposit of $125 upon registration, with full payment by Feb 16. Some partial scholarships available. Register at this link. Nur Mariam’s motivation to offer khilvat comes from the profound gifts she has received over the last 30 years of experiencing the connection with Divine Source while in solitude. As a Ruhaniat and Khilvat guide, cherag and Spiritual director, she invites you to discover the gifts awaiting you in the stillness of your Heart.
Mujiba encourages you to step into the heart of silence to nurture your inner life and relationship with the Real in the company of kindred spirits. She joyfully supports others as a Khilvat and Ruhaniat guide, Siraj, and Healing conductor, and has been formally coaching since 2009.
