Alhamdulillah! Our school is deeply blessed by Murshida Mariam’s connection with and transmission of the Mevlevi school of Sufism, as well as her attunement to and embodied transmission of the goddess reality. In addition, she carries the transmission of SoulWork directly from Pir Moinuddin.
Murshida Mariam participated with the group that had the rare opportunity of turning, through the grace of Jelaluddin Loras, inside Mevlana’s Türbe, making her among the very few women to ever turn in Rumi’s tomb. After that beautiful moment, we heard that Turkish women began turning in public as well. When one of our beloveds asked how that happened, they said they had learned that the American women had been trained, and so they would be too. Ya Hu to the goddess!
Our beloved Murshida Mariam is able to join us in the Mendocino Woodlands this summer, bringing her unique transmission to camp from Wednesday to Saturday, inshallah. As a special blessing, she will be hosting a Dhikr on Friday night.
Because this wonderful addition happened late in our planning, we have already spent our teaching budget—but we simply didn’t want to miss the opportunity to have more days with her.
