Guys,
These pictures (it's an online gallery) are from the Triangle go players recent (Wednesday) visit to the White House to meet the president of China.
Frank is the 3d who made the go board that Obama had presented the pres of china on his visit there. (Frank gives me two stones and usually wins, but he thinks I usually win. Maybe the losses are more painful and we remember them better :-).
There are two Pauls.Paul Celmer is 2d, I take black and maybe pretty even, but he's appreciably more sophisticated than I am. I only realized he's on the board of the AGA last Sunday when we had a dinner at Peter Armenia's house, around the block from where we used to play go at Dick Scoville's house, in the 70's.
Paul Mathews is the rating statistician guy that's been mad at me in the past for imperfect rating reports. I had not realized he was married to a 9dan pro from China, until I saw these pictures today. I think he's a princeton alum, and if it's math, then sheesh he walks on water.
