CIPLA Treasurer 2014-15

Dear Members - During our next meeting on May 20, 2014 we will be holding a vote for Treasurer for the 2014-15 year.  At this time, we have no nominees for the position.  If you would like to run for Treasurer please let me know by next Monday, May 19.  We will also take nominations from the floor during the meeting on May 20.

The Treasurer generally maintains the CIPLA bank account (which includes depositing funds from our meetings and paying the bills (which are not many)), greets guests at the door during CIPLA and coordinates the badges/AV equipment for the meetings.  The time commitment is not overwhelmingly significant and we are planning to have fewer meetings next year than in the past.  The Treasurer automatically advances to Secretary the following year and then up to President in a 4 year cycle.  There are also periodic officers meetings or conference calls, generally at lunch time, during the year.   Feel free to contact me or any other CIPLA officer if you have any questions about the Treasurer role and/or being a CIPLA officer.
